Unit 2 - Chapters 1 & 2

Project Proposal

  • Site title - Berkeley Programs for Study Abroad
  • Developer - Kristin Lee
  • Rationale - the purpose to is educate Berkeley students, parents, and others about the programs available, how to apply, things that they need to prepare while abroad, and things to do when they return. While the UC Berkeley study abroad office does have a webpage that works well, it has a warm color scheme. I wanted to make a cool color scheme and hopefully make the navigational system more streamlined and user-targeted. I thought that the original webpage seemed a bit too cluttered, so I am aiming for a simple, easy-to-use, design here.
  • The main features will be: access to application materials, informational materials, and other forms. A navigational bar will help guide people to the correct destination that will educate them about their needs. A primary navigational bar will be on the top. A secondary navigational bar will be on the left side.
